my teaser trailer ‘the stalker’ – first edit.

For a first edit i feel confident. after editing out and cutting the shots that didn’t work – making sure each shot flowed from the previous – i am happy with the camera work i have managed to do. I wanted the camera work to be shakey and jumpy in some parts, hence why i decided to use my own hand held camera, as a camera on a tri-pod just wouldn’t give the same effect. I made sure each shot was over the shoulder – giving the impression that we are looking through someone elses eyes – to make it believeable and evident that the boy is being watched and follwed. Each shot is a wide shot and long, execpt the shots from 00.3 to 00.14  which begins as a close up and pannels out to a wide shot, before going behind the wall. And the last shot ( 00.23 to 00.25) which goes from a long shot into a close up of the hand reaching out for the boy. With the next editing i will include more titles – to make it more conventional – and edit it to black and white – to make it more old fashioned.
